The Goose is really delighted to be welcoming Martin Simpson to East Dulwich.
Described by the Sunday Times as "one of the UK's finest folk musicians", the Goose reckons that Martin is probably the best acoustic guitarist in the UK, as well as being a brilliant singer.
At last year's BBC Folk Awards he was winner for both "Best New Album" (Prodigal Son) and "Best Original Track" (Never Any Good, a moving song about his father. This year he is nominated in the "Best Musician" category.
Our support artists are Olivia Chaney and Rún.
Olivia is a local traditional singer who also plays steel-string guitar and Indian harmonium and is fast gaining a reputation further afield. The five members of Rún perform Celtic songs acapella and with Celtic harp, and include Brona McVittie, who many of you will know as one of the Woodlarks.
You can find out more about Martin, Olivia and Rún, and listen to some of their music, via our website at
