It's now less than three weeks till the summer solstice and the Concordia Chamber Choir's special midsummer concert. We've just returned from an unforgettable 'dress rehearsal' of this year's programme in the baroque glory of St. Michael's Church in Hamburg and now look forward to bringing it home to our own beautiful stage at All Saints. The concert will span over three hundred years of English choral composition: from the Jacobean of Orlando Gibbons to the new Elizabethan of Lennox Berkeley and Kenneth Leighton. So whatever your tastes, you'll find something familiar to enjoy and something new to discover. Concordia has rarely offered you a programme that is more memorable to listen to and exciting to sing. One poetic chorister even describes performing one particular piece as being ' like spinning through space.'
So book your tickets today for that unique brand of Concordia's musical magic.
The performance is at 7.30pm on Saturday, 23rd June 2018 at All Saintsí Church, Lovelace Rd, SE21 8JY. Tickets cost £12 at the door, or £11 in advance from www.concordiachamberchoir.co.uk. Concessions (students and those on means tested benefits) half price. Remember that feeling you get coming home from an amazing concert? Make a note in your diary now!
