This two-hour, easy-paced loop starts and finishes at Dulwich Clock Cafe in Dulwich Park SE21 7BQ. It's free to join and open to all. Last time riders took this Dulwich - Crystal Palace loop it was snowing. The weather is more than usually unpredictable at the moment but I hope we can rule out snow.
The route starts with a peaceful trundle downhill to Peckham Rye Park, over the hill at Nunhead and down to the Waterlink Way at Ladywell Fields. The Waterlink Way (aka National Route 21) is off-road along the River Ravensbourne and very pretty. The group follow it for nearly two miles to Lower Sydenham.
They continue on quiet streets to Cator Park followed by a loop through Penge to Crystal Palace Park. There's no disguising that Crystal Palace Park includes a hill. There will be time to check out the dinosaurs, then further on up to Crystal Palace Parade. This bit is steep in places, but there will be plenty of time to walk stretches and anyone who chooses to get off and push will not be alone.
The reward for all that huffing and puffing will be a delightful run downhill back to Dulwich park. Amanda will be leading and the route is here: [www.google.com]
