The 11+ ISEB test: What you need to know
Posted by: Mentor 21 June, 2021 13:43

We now know that many schools have switched to an ISEB pre-test followed by a bespoke school exam, should the applicant score highly.

What is the format of the test? It is a standardised set of tests sat in the Autumn term of Yr 6. Maths, English, Verbal and Non-verbal reasoning questions split into four online multiple-choice papers totalling 2.5 hours. The test is adaptive depending on age and when the test is taken. It can be sat at your primary/prep school or at the school of choice.

How can we help? We specialise in school admissions and our results speak for themselves. In 2021 90% of our 11+ cohort were offered a place at their first-choice top Independent school.

The key to this success is our 11+ programme, which encompasses all aspects of the 11+ and ISEB. We set the pace allowing young children to develop at an appropriate speed, without cramming. Our dedicated 11+ Co-ordinator will get to know you, your child and school aspirations, and what will work best for them on their 11+ journey.

The Mentor 11+ programme includes:

Academic assessments (CEM)
ISEB/11+ Tuition
Scholarship tuition
Small group tuition
Summer Holiday courses (25th-27th Aug)
Mock exams (Oct, Nov)
Interview technique (Dec)
Schools advice

If you are unsure where to start, or would like a clearer picture of the 11+ process, please do get in touch with the 11+ team.
