Vaccinations do appear to protect the vaccinated but not stop transmission

Vaccines do seem to be effective in protecting the vaccinated from serious illness and death. But they don't seem to be effective in stopping transmission. So all these attempts to coerce young people and others into getting the vaccine are pointless. The vaccine is not good for protecting others. But it is good for protecting yourself:
On the other hand data from the US suggests that the covid vaccine can have serious adverse effects. Its a bit depressing. Make of it what you will and hope for the best. Sounds too grim to be true!
